Moore Stephens KSC sustains the promotion and enhancement of the relationship between Romania and R. Moldova

On December 14th 2016, Moore Stephens KSC participated at the event organized in Timisoara by the R. Moldova Embassy and the Timis Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture whose primary scope was the promotion and enhancement of the relationship between Romania and R. Moldova. The event presented several tax, legal, banking and labor information necessary for anyone interested to invest in the R.Moldova.

Amongst the keynote speakers of the event were H.E. Mr. Mihai Gribincea - the Ambassador of R. Moldova to Bucharest, Mr. Nicolae Robu - the Mayor of Timisoara, Mrs. Florica Chirita - the Director of the Timisoara Chamber of Commerce, Mrs. Olga Vrajmas - Expert MIEPO, Mr. Mamas Koutsoyiannis - and Mrs. Natalia Codreanu - Executive Director BRC Chisinau.
His Excellency, Mr. Mihai Gribincea, the Ambassador of R. Moldova to Bucharest pointed out the economic potential of his country who offers high quality products in several industries, especially in agriculture and food. The 1,600 Romanian economic agents that act in R. Moldova place Romania as the 6th investor in the country and he is confident that it could go up to the first 3 places if this rhythm is maintained.
Mr. Mamas Koutsoyiannis, the CEO of Moore Stephens presented the convergence of the business environment in Romania and R. Moldova, seen through the eyes of a Business Consultant acting in both countries. “The emerging market, opportunities, inexpensive and quality work force were some of the main triggers when we decided to open our offices in Chisinau. Our clients range from individual entrepreneurs, to large organisations and complex international businesses. The added value that we bring to the table is our industry focus, which enables us to provide an innovative and personal service to our clients in a variety of sectors. For the next couple of years we are waiting for the financial sector from R. Moldova to recover and to have a different dynamic. Also the IT sector is booming and there is a sustainable effort in this direction. Of course, we are waiting and hoping that the market diversification to continue for the agriculture sector and to continue the implementation of the modern agricultural technologies with ecological effect like for fruits and vegetables.”
 
This event was the last one from a series of conferences organized in 2016 in cities of strategic economic importance like Cluj, Constanța, Oradea and Brasov. The main objective is to create a communication channel for the participants to interact directly with the officials and between themselves in order to find the proper solutions for investments.
